Lynda Brooks is the Center’s Chief Financial Officer. She is a proactive and dedicated leader with over 20 years of diverse financial management experience across various industries and five countries spanning Europe and the Americas. She has successfully assessed, provided feedback, and developed position papers on accounting industry guidance and regulation for federal, nonprofit, and commercial entities. Her extensive background also includes development, training, and implementation of systems, processes, policies, and standard operating procedures in accordance with accounting and financial reporting industry standards. She has demonstrated expertise in U.S. GAAP, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, SEC reporting, financial planning and analysis, and staff development, and is an ethical and strategic leader able to conceptualize and implement effective global solutions.

Brooks is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Public Accountancy from Bernard M. Baruch College, City of New York; a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Robert H. School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park; and a Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. She also serves as a Chaplain in the U.S. Army Reserve.
