On the federal budget, David Reich pointed out that the partisan House appropriations bills underfund non-defense priorities and are a sharp break from the bipartisan debt ceiling agreement. On housing, Sonya Acosta noted that the House and Senate appropriations bills prioritize rental assistance, though the House bill makes sharp cuts. On health, we updated our resource tracking states’ unwinding from continuous Medicaid coverage.
